About Me

Hi, I’m Dave. This is the story of my preparation for - and journey through - the 2025 Tour Divide.

This ride will be unlike anything I’ve ever done - a 2,750-mile (4,500km) beast of a ride along the Rockies, from Banff, Alberta to Antelope Wells, New Mexico. The ride is unsupported, meaning riders have to carry everything with them - camping gear, clothes, food, you name it. There are no stages; no refreshment stands; no supported accommodation. The race starts in Banff, and ends at the Mexico Border.

I’ve done a number of 1,000km tours in the past, but this promises to be unlike anything I’ve done before.

I’ll be using this Substack to chronicle my training, and - energy and signal permitting - a few shots and stories along the ride.
